Show Summary:

In a world splitting at the seams with spiritual teachers, books and programs, there are only a few that I follow and who really move me closer to the profound truth of love, surrender and oneness. Today on Radiantly You, I’m talking to one of these spiritual teachers – her name is Miranda Macpherson, and while I discovered her only recently, she’s definitely not new to the scene. Her latest book, The Way of Grace: The Transforming Power of Ego Relaxation, provides a profound map for the part of the spiritual journey that’s been most challenging for me (and for so many others as well). In her book, Miranda shows us exactly how to “be in this world, but not of it,” living in two worlds at once and realizing that they are one.

Show Notes:

On today’s show, we’re going to discover something that will potentially change how you are navigating your spiritual journey. We’ll explore how true surrender happens by softening and relaxing the ego rather than exiling it, telling it to shut up, or pushing away from it. With our guest today, spiritual teacher, mystic and author, Miranda Macpherson, we’ll uncover the pitfalls and traps that can sideline spiritual truth seekers (like when ego, that little trickster, has us cherry-picking for spiritual goodies to fix its problems).

Miranda’s teaching about “The Way of Grace,” which also is the title of her new book, is really about opening to your own experience, allowing all things, and meeting everything with love. If you still find yourself getting triggered, being judgy, and not fully in a place of peace (despite reading a gazillion books!), then this episode is for you!

We’ll shed light (literally bring things into the light!) on how true surrender happens and Miranda will tell us what it means to live the way of grace, how to tell if you are (or aren’t) evolving spiritually, and how to get past areas of spiritual stuckness.

In The Way of Grace, Miranda has created a powerful and substantial map for a journey through the four dimensions of grace that help to ground into something deeper than the mind, and help melt away some of the more dense features of ego-consciousness, like fear, judgment, defensiveness and control. Using holistic inquiry and meditation, Miranda shows us how to let grace transform us by touching those hard, patterned, defensive places and bringing them into the light. Then, it’s not about fixing or changing, but about letting go and allowing space for the mysterious presence of grace to heal and transform us.
